2026 Newsletter 3
Dear Families,
It has been a wonderful, busy and rewarding time across our community, with many opportunities for students to learn, connect and celebrate together.
Our Year 6 camp was a fantastic experience, filled with adventure, teamwork and plenty of memorable moments. One of the highlights for me was horse riding with our students. This activity brought great excitement and enjoyment to all who participated. It was great to see so many of our students stepping out of their comfort zones, building confidence, and supporting one another throughout the experience.
In sport, we are incredibly proud of our students’ outstanding efforts at the recent district swimming carnival. Their commitment, sportsmanship and determination were on full display, and the school achieved excellent results. Congratulations to all participants for representing our school with such pride.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. I look forward to seeing many of you before the end of the term at our Easter liturgies and bonnet parade.
Warm Regards,
Michelle

Mill Valley Ranch - Year 6 Camp!
The Year 6 students had an absolutely fantastic time at school camp, throwing themselves into a wide range of new and exciting experiences. They loved working with the horses—learning how to ride, groom, and handle them with growing confidence and care—and many were proud of how quickly they picked up these new skills. Beyond that, they enjoyed canoeing, tackling team challenges, and even taking part in some light-hearted fun like chasing their teachers, which brought plenty of laughter. What really stood out was how willing everyone was to step outside their comfort zones, try something new, and encourage one another along the way. It was wonderful to see friendships strengthen as students supported each other, built resilience, and returned home with a real sense of achievement.
St Patrick’s Day at SFA
A huge thank you to everyone who wore a touch of green this past Tuesday for our St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at SFA! Our staff kicked things off with a fantastic Irish breakfast, setting the tone for a wonderful day enjoyed by the whole school community.
Notice Regarding Early Pick Ups
Please be advised that the school office is unable to facilitate student pick-ups during the following break times:
Lunch: 11:10 am – 11:40 am
Snack: 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Due to the large number of students in open play areas, locating individuals during these times is challenging. To ensure a smooth transition, please arrange all early departures before or after these periods.
Lost Property
Last year, our lost property basket was constantly overflowing with unnamed items that were never collected. To help manage this and ensure belongings find their way back to their rightful owners, we have implemented a new system:
Check Those Labels: Please ensure your child’s name is written clearly on all school gear, especially jumpers, hats, drink bottles, and any toys or balls brought from home.
Daily Returns: Items with a legible name will be sorted and returned to students through the Office trays each day.
Second-Hand Shop: To keep our space tidy, any items found without a name will be donated to the Second-Hand Uniform Shop.
Need a spare item? Parents are welcome to purchase items from the Second-Hand Uniform Shop by visiting the school office at any time.
Smart Watches and Jewellery
We have recently updated the jewellery and accessories section of our uniform guide to clarify the rules around our school uniform. Please take a moment to review the updated guide.
PBL Cabinet Visit – Prep Students
Our Prep students recently enjoyed their first visit to the PBL cabinet! They have been working hard to earn tokens by demonstrating our school expectations of being safe, respectful and responsible.
Some students chose to carefully save their tokens to work towards a bigger reward, while others were very excited to redeem their tokens straight away. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and pride in making positive choices.
By consistently following our three expectations – Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible – our students help make our school a safe, happy and positive place for everyone to learn.
DISTRICT SWIMMING
Our school made a splash at the recent District Carnival! All 17 of our competing students showcased incredible talent, each bringing home a ribbon for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place finish. While many students secured multiple ribbons, a special shout-out goes to Olivia, who claimed 1st place in four events and 2nd in another.
The momentum continued as 14 of our swimmers qualified for the Division Swimming Carnival. There, five of our athletes secured 3rd-place finishes, and Olivia once again excelled, placing 1st in two events to qualify for Regionals. This is a phenomenal achievement for our team. We encourage you to congratulate these students and give them a chance to share their experiences with the community!
Be sure to note the Mass time for Holy Week in the Parish Bulletin.
